earth day walk

It can be hard to do all the things we know we’re supposed to be doing. Eat right, exercise, don’t watch too much tv, keep a tidy home. Unfortunately, letting these things slide can lead to more work in the long run as you try to catch up on chores and get your life and body back on track.
This is where I am now and although a part of me wistfully reminisces about the days I’d come home from work, plop on the sofa with my knitting and the remote for a lazy evening, another part is very excited about getting out of the house and going for a walk, greeting my neighbors and being inspired by the lovely gardens and interesting architecture along the way.
I’ve started walking each evening and in the morning when I can, which has drastically reduced my knitting time, but enriched my life in other ways.
I especially love walking in the mornings, when the birds are singing their little hearts out and the day is just beginning. It’s a good start.
Happy Earth Day! I hope you get out and enjoy this planet of ours!

No idea what that sign means, at all.
Enjoy the walking. Most days it’s too hot for that here anymore. Sigh.

What a great way to acknowledge earth day – by tying everything all up together – our own health and that of the planet with the beauty right in our own communities! Thanks you Elizabeth!
