Five on Friday

I can’t believe it, I just typed this post, previewed it, and then closed the window.  Ah well.  Maybe it’ll be better the second time around.

1.  Four years ago today, I was here:

With this special guy:

CIMG0645

Having the time of our lives!  I miss it.  I’m ready to go back.

2.  To celebrate our anniversary, we’re going backpacking this weekend!  It could be an interesting trip, considering I got a cortisone shot in my heel yesterday (plantar fasciitis) and SB’s on his millionth round of antibiotics to clear the crud.  We don’t have very many miles planned, so I’m sure we’ll be fine.  I can’t wait to smell the campfire!

3.  The cortisone shot kept me up late and woke me up early.  All day I was hyper and couldn’t focus.  I was very happy to have a new book to dive into – The Time Traveler’s Wife – which I’m almost halfway through and really enjoying.  I consider it required reading for Lost viewing and now Flash Forward, which totally has me confused at the moment.

4.  I finished the back of Staghorn!

Going to start the front on the way to the trailhead in the morning.

5.  That’s all I have, so here’s some Eye Candy Friday for you:

Have a great weekend!

Happy Anniversary! I hope the two of you have a lovely day, sounds like you’ve more than earned it.

The sweater is coming along beautifully.

Aw, happy anniversary you two!! Have a great time in the woods this weekend, can’t wait to see pics!

I enjoyed that book a whole lot… the relationship is so well written, but the mental gymnastics were a challenge for sure ;) Lots of good conversation fodder there, and yes, definitely required reading for Lost!

Happy Anniversary! Take care of that heel. I adored The Time Traveler’s Wife; it’s probably my most-read book ever. The audio version also makes good on-the-road listening.

Happy Anniversary! I’ve read TTW, too, and loved it.

And Paris…(I presume). My old stompin’ grounds. It’s been EIGHT years since I’ve been back which is FAR too long!

Happy, happy anniversary! Great book, too.

I went through a couple-three bouts of plantar fasciitis and resorted to the cortisone shot for one. But the p.t. returned. Did the doc show you the stretching thingie to do every time before you stand up? If not, let me know and I’ll describe it. That was the thing that finally cleared mine up.

Have a great trip – and Happy Anniversary!!

I LOVED the TTW – did you see the movie? I was one of the watchers that did like it. Though it’s hard not to like Eric Bana I think. :-p

Happy Anniversary! Have fun on your hike and of course, be careful. (I’m so mom).

I’ve read The TTW, and I wouldn’t mind seeing the movie but I think I’ll wait for video. It was definitely an interesting take on the whole time travel idea.

Hey, happy anniversary!! You two are a very cute couple. Did you have fun on your hike?

Staghorn! Wow! It looks amazing. Are you knitting it out of your handspun?
