block party

Saturday morning I did something I’ve been meaning to do for months. I pulled out three FOs and gave them a good blocking.
This is the scarf I knit on our ill-fated vacation this June. It’s been finished for several months and it grew probably two feet in blocking. It’s the Tilly Scarf from A Fine Fleece.
I would love a sweater out of this, but at $20/4 ounces, I’ll be content with a scarf.
Next up is yet another Shetland Shawl from sock yarn dyed by Miss Babs. I think this is my third time to use this pattern and won’t be my last.
This is a free pattern from Elann that I knit with Noro Silk Garden sock yarn. It was quick and easy, I think I knit it in one day. Kinda reminds me of a bat.
I love starting a season with new handknits!

*grin* I like that, block party. :P
Everything looks great, but I’m especially in love with that sock yarn shawl. I’m working on a Noro sock shawl too!

Woo Hoo!
I love the last photo. There’s something so nice about a stack of handknits.

Your knits look great! I had a block party this weekend, too. It feels good to check them off the list. ;-)

Lots of pretties to snuggle up with. I’m learning the joys of blocking wires still. Think I need some more shawls to practice with. ;-)

Love those FOs! Isn’t it grand to have and wear hand knitted garments?

How lovely! I think the Flower Petal looks like an exotic moth!

Mmmmmm I really like the cozy look of your Noro wrap/shawl.
Good for you getting through the FO’s.
Blocking looks like such a good idea on other knitter’s sites…

Very nice! I like the way that one is hanging there on the wall. Very batlike, which to me enhances its coolness.

Wow, three! Could have used the scarf at R’beck. Brrrrrr. Reminds me of the first lines in the first Batman movie: “There.Ain’t.No.Bat!” And he was wrong.
