if this were ANTM, I’d be sent home

Because good lard, I couldn’t take a decent picture yesterday for anything!

Still, I’ll give you what I’ve got.

Yes, I know this is blurry.  Believe me when I say this is the only picture of my face where I don’t look like a stern, lobotomized German nanny.  In fact, my expression reminds me of a picture our wedding photographer took where I have a completely vacant look – if you’re nice, I’ll scan and share it because it’s just too funny.

I braved the rain for you and especially so Tami wouldn’t call me a wimp!

I was a bit worried about the Stockinette Roll once I realized that the crochet lettuce edging wouldn’t prevent it.  So I ditched the edging altogether and knit an extra 15 rows on the sleeves because if there’s anything I can’t stand, it’s sleeves that are just *that much* too short.  As it is – it’s perfect!

I love this sweater.  It’s lightweight, it’s seamless, it can be worn many different ways, it looks good with jeans and dress pants.   This is the first time I’ve knit a sleeve top-down using short rows and I am SOLD.  It’s a little fiddly at first, but fits PERFECTLY.  Love that, because shoulder seams are difficult for me.

Thanks for tuning in!  And thanks to SB, my personal Nigel Barker!

I wasn’t sure about that pattern when I saw it in TC. I like it a whole lot better in your pics! Bet it’ll be a great, multiseason cardi for you.

I’ll echo what everyone else has said — pix in TC made me wonder why you liked this sweater. Now I see why; it looks great on you. And your hair! It’s gotten so long since I last saw you. I like the red too.

You will wear that sweater to death — it is perfect! I have been thinking that a lightweight sweater would be a good addition to my wardrobe. Should it be this one? Never mind, I have too much in the queue already.

Haha! This is awesome because I KNOW what it takes to get “the shot”. The pictures are hilarious, in the best way, and I can see that the sweater is great.

LOL, Gorgeous! Doesn’t that red make your blue eyes sparkle! Even in the blurry photo your eyes just shone through.

If I didn’t have a number of sweater patterns that are free that I have yet to knit up, I’d add this one to my queue after seeing yours all done up!

Wow! That looks awesome on you. Now I want one. Are the sleeves comfortable and not tight and bindy? Because that’s always the killer for me and my meaty arms. :-)

That looks SO good on you. I could not picture it with human shape in your prior pix. So so nice. And I agree with Manise, now I want one.

Aw! I love the sweater AND the pics! It’s been raining here a bit, too. I can’t complain but it has given the roses a beating for sure. Great post sis~

It looks so good on you ( I love your haircolour too!)
Great job knitting it — good call about the extra rows for the roll up action, so clever a knitter you are

I might just have to add this to my endless queue on Ravelry…
