ready for fall

New socks make me want to put on my Birks and walk along the sidewalk, crunching leaves underfoot and enjoying the cool breeze!  Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait a little while for that.

Those are mostly plain vanilla socks, but I jazzed them up a little.  The cuff is a broken rib pattern – k2, p2 for 3 rows, then purl one row, repeat – and I made an eye of partridge heel.  Just enough pattern to keep my interest and the simple stockinette allows the yarn (Yarn Zombie handdyed) to shine through.

Now back to my sweaters!

    Love the yarn color and it looks like a comfortable yarn, too. If only my sock mojo would return.

    The broken rib looks crisp and well defined–I like it! It looks like it makes a little wave~ right at the very edge.

    You and your zinnias…show off :-P!
    Srsly, you have the most colorful zinnias I’ve seen this year.

    My tootsies are cold this morning since we’re in the 40′s here. Your lovely socks are reminding me I’ve only knit one pair this year. Time to get off my duff and do something about that.
