Genmaicha mitts
Posted on | December 30, 2008 | 11 Comments

This was a quick little knit that took me four days.

I absolutely love them, even if they are a tad large. The yarn, Mountain Colors Bearfoot in the Granite Peak colorway, was a gift from Janet that’s been waiting patiently in my stash for the perfect project. The pattern was interesting, easy to follow, and I definitely will make more of these. The good thing about them being a bit large is that I can wear lightweight gloves underneath them, for those really cold days, which with our climate, would be February 23 from 6:14 until 10:07 a.m. :o)
When that time rolls around, I’m ready.

Beautiful mitts. The pair I made myself is a bit large too, I found I can fold my fingers down into the inside anytime I need a little extra warmth. Quite a handy little feature. =D

Oh, those are gorgeous! I gasped when they appeared on my screen. Great idea to wear them over lightweight gloves.

They are gorgeous. But, for some reason, I saw “Gotcha Mitts!” Heh. Time for a lie down?

I love Genmaicha and have some Bearfoot hanging around. I think you’re onto something!

Lovely! You should have seen the wind whipping around Boston today. Not particularly cold, but lots and lots of windchill going on.

I don’t know, I ready something crazy about sun spot cycles and the little ice age of the middle ages repeating itself. So you never know!
