summer’s last hurrah

One taller-than-me cosmos plant won’t give up the summer.
Butterflies have been flocking to it for a couple of weeks now.
Vibrant colors cluster together before the world turns gray.
Have a great weekend! And thank you for the annivesary wishes!

I also had a huge cosmos plant this summer in my vegetable garden. The stalk was a thick as a sunflowers and must have been 7-8 feet tall. Our world here today is gray and drizzly- thank you for the colorful photos!

Gorgeous colors. Those monarchs always make me a little sad since I know the sight of them means the coming of winter.

Absolutely GORGEOUS pictures!!! We’ll need to go back for a second look at these around Feb/March when Spring Fever hits!!!

LOVE the underside spotted colors of the last butterfly! My marigolds won’t give up either, and I’m not unhappy about that at all. The leaves here are really brilliant this year, too.

Thank you so much for those pictures! We had our first snow yesterday and I’m feeling rather grumpy about it.

I love the lighting on the flowers! All our foliage is gone, all our flowers are crisp.
