I smell sheepy

My house smells sheepy.

Even Mack the Cat smells sheepy!  I heard a rustling noise and went into the dining room to find Mack sacked out on the fleece, kneading his paws and purring like you wouldn’t believe.  I think he needs a flock.

I washed about half of the gray fleece.  It fills a Rubbermaid tub.  Good thing I hadn’t hauled all those tubs to the attic after reorganizing the stash!  I hope to wash the rest of the gray fleece this weekend, if I can pry it out from under Mack.

I made fluffy cinammon buns with a bit of the washed fleece.

And of course I had to spin it.  It has a lovely, heathered look to it and should make pretty yarn.  Good, honest yarn for a warm, functional sweater.

Speaking of sweaters…

they only lack necks.

    Wow…. I’m impressed!

(And I will not let my cats see that photo lest they start clamoring for the same!)

Yes, impressed beyond belief! And inspired…I shall try to start the fleece to sweater road sometime over the next year. I’m finally at that point. May as well become a REAL spinner.

Wow, that’s impressive. Reminds me of the YouTube video of Taz the kitten discovering wool.

Mack the Cat has wonderful taste. Will you post a photo of the singles in better light? I have a lovely gray Border Leicester fleece just waiting to processed and spun. You’ve inspired to get to it. :-) Can’t wait to see your sweaters all finished.
