I have a terrible headache this morning.  Self-induced, so don’t feel too sorry for me!  SB wanted to play cards last night and while we had great fun (I won the last game, and that’s all that counts), the two Sidecars I consumed have done a number on my head today.  Another cup of coffee and I’ll be fine, I’m sure.

I am 90% done with Hans Brinker (thanks for the name, Bekka!).  So of course I have little interest in finishing it.  :o)  But I will finish it!  I actually think I’ll be able to wear it, so that’s good incentive right there.  I only had three balls of yarn left to knit the sleeves, so I used a provisional cast on, skipped the ribbing and knit the patterned part of the sleeves, seamed the yoke together, knit the neckband, unpicked the sleeve cast-on and knit down, adding two pattern repeats and the ribbing.  I just have one sleeve to go, and then seaming the sides and arms.  I hope to finish it this weekend.

I did finish my Aibhlinn!  Don’t care much for these FO shots, but I did try to smile, Carrie.  Just for you.

Stupid double chin.  Here’s a better picture of the cowl:

It’s very soft and will be great come winter.  The tweediness of the yarn obscures the pattern a bit, so I’m glad I made the bobbles to give it a little oomph.

A while back, I made SB a cowl too, to ward off the chill while backpacking.

This was made from double stranded Yarn Pirate sock yarn and is really squishy. Even with several rows of seed stitch at the beginning and end, it still rolls quite a bit.

Very suitable for pretending you’re a turtle.  Silly turtle.

I’m in awe of your knitting & how quickly you are able to turn work out.

My family used to camp in the Poconos in a pop-up camper when I was young. You are in for a treat!!!
