Why must you vex me so?

Honestly, have you ever seen a bigger mess?

Eeek. Don’t scare me! I have some that’s still in its skein!

WITH a swift, no less! I’ve had that kind of mess trying to do these things with my knees and a nostepinne (don’t ask) but I thought a swift was supposed to make it easier!

    Lovely color, though.

I did have a bigger mess with a bulky yarn, but that’s a killer. Take yarn back!

    Wow. That’s just downright evil.

Oh, I’ve had MUCH bigger messes than that, and not with Malabrigo lace. How do you think I came by my World-Class Untangler title??

You really should have a disclaimer at the top of this post. An R rating at least for the graphic yarn gore. I’m frightened of that hank.

Oh NO! That’s awful. I feel like that should be returnable to the store for an exchange.

OMG!!!! I’ve heard nice things about that yarn – i’m going to hesitate buying because of this. Even so, the colors are beautimous :)

Today must have been Malabrigo Mess day. We spent most of the afternoon trying to wind up 5 skeins of their limited edition cotton. Eek, what a disaster!

    eeek. good luck.

once i was winding some Peruvian hand dyed fingering weight at my lys. It was a mess. I don’t know what this dyer did when she hanked it but i had knots on top of knots. The Owner of the store kept trying to give me pointers. I was so angry that 1- I bought yarn that was so mistreated and 2- this lys owner was so opinionated. I stepped away from the swift and told her to try it. Put it this way, I got a 20% discount the next time I go. My lesson, I always wind my yarn at home (but the discount was cool)

It looks irresistible to touch, though. Whatcha makin’?

Oh no! Yeah, malabrigo lace sometimes slightly sticks together. It’s almost like it’s lightly felted from the dying process. You have to wind slow and smooth, and when you get to a bit that is tempting you to go over or under, just rotate the hank on the winder. I think it took me three times longer to wind this yarn than other yarns, just because it’s so fiddly. Good luck!

Ohhh what a nightmare. When I’m busy with yarn it’s the worst thing Ever to get a big messy tangle. And it’s not like that’s friendly yarn for untangling! UGH!

Though… give me a friendly yarn and a nasty tangle when I need to unwind and relax…. I just love it.

    Weird, huh? :)
