messy tuesday – the dare episode

My husband dared me to show this picture.

Halloween 2004 Red Lips Red Eyes Red Tops.jpg

Oh wait, not that one.  This one:

This is a bookshelf in our tv room that has become a depository for all things that need to go up to the attic.  That’s the attic door on the right.  See – they’re *almost* there.  Yes, that’s a collection of Christmas decor on the top shelf.  Yes, I DO realize it’s April 22.  I had an unhealthy attachment to my Fun Fur Kitschmas Tree; I didn’t want to give it up.  I don’t mind confessing this because I know y’all will forgive me.  Won’t you?  You understand, right?

Then there’s the collection of games which need to be put on the stair shelves – easy to reach when you want to play, but out of sight.  Speaking of which, I am the Blokus champion of our house and if anyone wants to play me, I say Bring It.  The big basket of Shetland fleece ain’t going nowhere.

Thus concludes this week’s episode of …

Love this post! I have a garage that is so messy, I have circled the block waiting for the neighbors to go in their homes so they won’t see it when I open the door.

i was really expecting a mess, and was disappointed! your shelves full of board games looked pretty organized to me.

I’m sorry, but that shelf SO pales in comparison to some (many!) of the corners in my home. If that’s the best you can do, maybe you shouldn’t be playing this game!

Yup. I’m in agreement. If you start now, you can knit the tree a 4th of July tree cozy. ;-)

You’re a brave one; I would never post pics of my mess. Although your “mess” is even organized! Oh, and wth(eck) is Blokus? I’ve never heard of it; so bring it with you when you come & you can teach me!

I totally understand about the tree. Usually I don’t even like christmas decorations, and I still wanted to make the furry tree!
