for those with snow on the ground…still…

The irises are blooming.  The wisteria in the alley is blooming too; we can smell it when we sit on the deck in the back yard.  I know you hate me.  It’s okay.

The wee tiny sock I made for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap.  In keeping with not knowing what day it is, much less what month, I mailed my sock a day late.  I hope my pal forgives me.  The socks I made with this yarn pooled horribly, but 24 stitches make it stripe nicely.

Abby’s August batt club blend I mentioned yesterday.  Pure heaven to spin.  It even smells sheepy! (which I love)  I can’t imagine how, with the variety of fibers, but it does.  I give it a good whiff every once in awhile.  And then I blow my nose because it’s really fine.  I kinda wish I’d spun this on my spindle, so I could enjoy it longer.  Lace, definitely.

The start of my Lady Eleanor.  I remembered to bring the tag in so I could order more yarn from Webs and request the same dyelot.  I ordered two skeins initially; not sure if I’d like the colorway, but I do and now I want a big ole wrap to curl up in!  Hopefully I’ll be able to withstand their sale prices, but Berroco Ultra Alpaca is on sale!  Have you touched this stuff?  Softest yarn ever!  I love those tweedy colors too.  *sigh*

I went to the thrift store yesterday but didn’t have any luck finding buttons.  I did buy a copy of The Secret Life of Bees for 99 cents and a pair of fat comfy pants for $2, so it was worth the trip.  Today I’m going to the LYS to see what they have.

I have more stuff to chat about and more pictures to show, but I think I’ll save that for tomorrow.  ;o)

Very nice spinning. :-) I’ve got some fiber like that. More of it ends up floating around the room and stuck to my pants than on the bobbin. LOL

What…. are you on vacation or something? All these errands you’re running. I’m not jealous. Much. (I’m so silly)

your gloating won’t work on me because come june when it’s 345 degrees in your neck of the woods with 200% humidity, it’ll be perfect up here.

I do hate you, but in the nicest possible way. Both because you have spring and a luxurious batt to spin. *envy*

That is SOOO thin! Amazing, I love it! Lady Eleanor is also a thing of outstanding beauty. Glad I popped over from Carrie’s. Also, if you haven’t noticed, I cracked and decided to join Ravelry.
