Random Tuesday

Life is busy! I’m posting randomly!
1. I’ll get the grouchy out of the way first. There should be consequences for the person who takes the last cup of coffee before noon and DOESN’T MAKE MORE! I’m thinking forty lashes but that may be too lenient.
2. I owe a big thank you to Janet! She sent me these lovelies:
A sock pattern, a skein of Mountain Colors Bearfoot in Granite Peak and the world’s smallest crochet hook! I love the colors in this yarn! She also sent me some cds which aren’t pictured because they’re in my car, in the cd player.
3. I’m doing a program on Socks on Circulars this Saturday at our guild meeting. What on earth was I thinking? I’m not a good teacher. I’m so happy Tonni volunteered to help! As part of this class, I’m trying to have socks in varying stages of doneness. Of course I’ve waited until the last minute to get ready.
4. This is the sock I hope to get to the picking-up-gusset-stitches stage:
Yes, that’s one completed sock in the background, knit months ago and then pushed aside. I think I can do it. I’m using this as an opportunity to cast on for as many second socks as possible – my singles are ready to trade in bachelorhood for marital bliss.
5. The yarn for my feather and fan comfort shawl came in from Miss Babs.
It’s luscious. Two different dyelots, but I don’t care, I’ll alternate skeins. I may make the Raspberry Rhapsody Scarf from Knitter’s Book of Yarn instead, if I have enough yardage.
6. I may have also ordered some batts…
They were fresh, I couldn’t resist. Fresh batts are like chocolate chip cookies – best while they’re still warm.
7. Reason No. 347,869 Why I Love My Husband: We’re canoeing on Sunday and I accidentally flash a fisherman. There are no restrooms or port-a-potties on the river, y’all. I was horrified and aghast and told SB that I couldn’t believe I let a stranger see my Vajayjay. He had no idea what I was talking about. I tried to explain it to him the best I could according to my understanding of how this term came into use and even more ridiculous – WHY. He thought it was ludicrous and declared that from now on, his anus would be referred to as his Ah-nay-nay.
I think that’s enough random for today.

Of course you’ll be a fab teacher! Who taught me how to cut my bangs, after all? JK. I know that was all me. I’m in love with the yarn pictured in #4 of your list. It’s hot.
Please don’t ever say vajayjay again. Ever. ;)

Your socks want marital bliss? Is merino marriage allowed in your state? Doesn’t that threaten other kinds of marriage?
