Thus far in 2008, I have knit two sweaters.
Two sweaters that are too big.
Perhaps I should stick to socks.

Look on the bright side. You’re a lot smaller than you think you are!

Perhaps you should readjust your body image and knit a smaller size, Tinkerbell.

Drat! Can it be fixed?

It is a beautiful color although I guess that isn’t much consolation after all that work. that does look rather larger on you maybe it is the mirror’s fault.

Oh my goodness! You could send it to me. :-)

Okay, it may be too big but it’s still beautiful. I love that tweedy blue!

That sewing machine is looking good…little stitching, chopping, ouch lost yarn. Okay maybe that isn’t what others would do, but I think it might be a solution.

I had huge problems with this too. On size 11 needles I got gauge, but when I started the jacket it was huge. So I switched to size 9 needles. This came out looking right. I knit the sleeves the way it said and couldn’t get them to fit on correctly. So i picked up stitches around the armhole and knit down, decreasing a little along the way. But when I was done and tried it on, the shoulder area was too small. So mine looks absolutely nothing like the original. I left it as is and just put a button on the bottom hem holding the bottom parts together. I love it. But it is nothing like what I was really hoping for. Check it out on Ravelry. I am under … brittsneezer.

That sucks! But in a sense it’s better that they are too big than too small…Though not really when you’ve worked so hard.
That is such a shame – the colour of your Drops Sweater is so great. And it is WAY big hey?
What are you going to do with it?
