Everything I touch falls apart

Ever have those days where nothing goes right?  That’s how my past week has been, at least in the knitting realm.  I’ve cast on for two new sweaters but neither are working out like I envisioned.  I’m afraid that one is beyond my skills as a knitter (or at least, my ability to refer to the pattern errata) and the second is a pattern of my own making, fraught with indecision and self-doubt.

Spinning has been somewhat more productive (I’m glad I can still do SOMETHING right!), but I have no pictures to show, just yet.

So I’ll post some pretty pictures of a pale green Amaryllis we had over the holidays:

And a sweet kitty who, despite initial murderous attempts, decided to let the Amaryllis live after all.

Hopefully I’ll be back soon with something good to share!

I’ve never seen a cat feign innocence so well!

You’ll find your knitting mojo again. I have no doubt about that.

We should arrange a trade – I’ll send you knitting mojo if you’ll send me some of your great spinning mojo ;) There is nothing beyond your knitting skills…. I have faith!

Drat! I hate those bad mojo times. It does seem to be the counterweight to the crazy creative times so it can’t be all bad.

Love the amaryllis! Such a pretty color.

What a nice kitty to reconsider the party line of “All plants Must Die.” I’ll be sure to mention this show of restraint to my crew.
