Yesterday I hosted a revival

Ha-ha – NOT REALLY!!!  But that’s what it reminded me of as I was figuring out where to put 9 spinners!  NINE SPINNERS!  In my little house!

I think it worked out just fine, and I had a fabulous time!  Grace was there, sporting her gorgeous new Central Park non-Hoodie and I got to spend real time with Darlene, Bibby and Tonni who I’d met briefly before.  I also got to meet Jessi, Carrie (yes, THAT Carrie), Cindy and Wendy, who spun her very first yarn!

First yarn is always, ALWAYS, blogworthy!  By the end of the afternoon, she was rocking the colors – yay Wendy!

And just check out this generous spread:

We hardly made a dent in this, believe it or not, and I had to force people to take home the brownies – seems like everyone’s starting a diet today – and mine starts tomorrow.

Funniest comments overheard:

“Wow, you have a really big orifice.”

“Before I go, I have to smell your roving.”

I had a great time and hope everyone else did too.  It’s such a treat to spend time with spinners and something I don’t get to do very often.  I had no idea there were that many Alabama blogging spinners out there!  Thank you guys for coming!

We will definitely have to do it again SOON.

Oh fun! I am jealous, though I spent my whole weekend studiously Not Spinning. (What, I can’t be the only one who signs up for things I would otherwise do and then avoids doing those very things.)

Man! I wish I lived closer. Not that I would’ve been spinning – although I would’ve tried – I definitely could’ve helped with the brownie situation. Looks like you guys had a great time~

    Elizabeth,
Thanks so much for hosting all of us yesterday! I even got up early this morning to spin before I went to work(trying not to forget what I learned).

Revival!!! Ha ha………you are too funny. Much more vino, we would have needed a revival! Loved your house even though it made me homesick for the old neighborhood. Thank you for such a great time & sharing your home. I’m all for doing it again soon!

That looked like fun! If I lived near you, I would have invited myself along. :-) Hmm, maybe I should host my OWN spinner’s party.
