tally cards

I didn’t intend to take a break from the blog, but now that it’s apparently over, I can’t say it wasn’t needed!
I’ve been more of a blog reader for the past week, not even much of a commenter. I’ve been spectating. It’s been kinda nice.
I enjoy reading everyone’s lists of what they’ve accomplished over the past year, what they’re looking forward to in the next. I feel good about the progress made and lessons learned with knitting and spinning and while I have definite goals for the coming year - both fiber and life related - I’m not going to list them here because I don’t need the stress of “have-tos”, even if it’s self-imposed. They’re in the forefront of my mind and that’s where they best belong.
I am going to change a few things about my blog – for one thing, I’m deleting the list of blogs that I read from the sidebar. That list has changed and grown so much; some blogs I no longer read but there are many, many more that I’ve added to my subs. Between Blogines and keeping track of my Ravelry friends, the list is superfluous. If I visit your blog, you’ll know it – I’m pretty good about commenting.
I’ll likely be posting less, too. My intention is to have more substantive posts. I will still show works-in-progress, but I want to post when I actually have something to say and not post just to be posting. Just because it’s Wednesday – that sort of thing.
I wish you ALL the best for a happy and prosperous 2008 and look forward to developing the friendships this blog has gifted me with over the next year. Fiber adventures are more fun if you share them!
Happy New Year!

Hmm, my comment disappeared. I seem to be a little ADHD when I click away from a page before I finish my comment.
Anyway, happy new year! I am not thrilled that you won’t be posting as often, of course, but you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. Sob.
I’ll toast you with a lemon drop this afternoon, if I can find someone who can make them well!

Happy end of ’07 to you! As the world’s most irregular poster, I can strongly encourage you to do whatever you want with your blog. ;)

Oh come on! I TOTALLY rely on you to post every day so I can be a part of your life…so I can feel like I’m not miles and miles and miles away. On second thought, you could just email me w/ pics. ;)~ Love you~

Happy Happy New Year! The list of blogs in my sidebar doesn’t represent a quarter of the ones I follow (I don’t comment often – I would spend my whole day doing blogs if I commented on all of them), you’ve made me consider a change. I love keeping up with you – so I am looking forward to your new blog “format.” Hah.

Happy New Year Elizabeth! Here’s to no actual lists, and lots of wonderfully fibery things even so!
