Are you ready?

I’ve been busy getting ready! I’m not quite there yet, but I have faith it’ll all come together…somehow. It always does, right?

The gloves are gorgeous. And hey, if it doesn’t get done, it wasn’t meant to be.

No, I’m not, thankyouverymuch. I have to go shopping (UGH) and finish laundry, though I did bake and bake and bake some more, and the DH was nice enough to decorate the house while I did so. (I might have to rearrange a little – there are about 47 snowmen on top of my desk, and every time I open the keyboard drawer they leap off on my head.)

I’m ready!!! Things WILL come together – you know they will – somehow… think positive :)
The mittens are lovely.

Ready? not by any stretch of the imagination. But what’s fine is that I don’t care.

Beautiful pictures. I only have a few little things to get, like some picture frames. Other than that I am ready as I can be.

It just occurred to me a few minutes ago that a week from today is Christmas Eve. Yikes.
Amaryllis is lovely, the knitted Christmas tree had me scrutinizing my monitor just to be sure of what I was seeing, the cookies look yummy, the wreath (?) looks like it smells wonderful, the mittens are fuzzy lovely things of warmth, but what the heck is that last thing? I suspect it is a Southern traditional, but this midwesterner is baffled.

No! No, I’m not ready! I still have to ummm… start my shopping. Any chance I can talk you into doing that for me? Never mind. There are never any takers this close to the holiday. Obviously this is a “tradition” for me.

I am sooo not ready. I started some fingerless mitts for my mom over the weekend and I’ll be working on
them every waking moment that does not involve being at work or in the shower. Fortunately, I’m taking
Friday off so I’ll have all of Friday and the rest of the weekend to knit. I’m don’t think I’ll get them
done in time since I’m not a very fast knitter but I hope to have one done so Mom will have something to
open Christmas morning. Geez, I hope they fit!

Cookies have been baked, holiday potluck with friends has been had, knitting has been done — and I still don’t feel anywhere near ready! (Except, that is, ready for my holidays!!) I really like the look of your mitten!

i’m not ready. i’ve done most of my shopping though — if only what i ordered makes it here on time — but other than that, no celebrating until after my exam.

What a festive montage :)
I’m head over heels for that mitten in the corner – is that what you decided on? It’s GORGEOUS!!!

And, is that a knitted Christmas tree?!
