I’m thinking I need to start a Spin from Your Stash group. I keep finding fiber/batts/roving I can’t bear to let go
home with someone else so my unspun stash keeps growing and growing. Afterwards, of course, I’ll have to join the Knit from Your Stash group to use up my handspun. :-)

Spin first, center yourself, and then knit like the wind. (Sounds good in theory doesn’t it? If you’re like me once you start spinning you can’t stop.)

And as far as the seaming goes? I’ve only seamed one sweater, and it took me a couple of days. I wasn’t brave enough to count how many hours I put into it.

Here’s my brief brush with greatness…. James Doohan kissed my cheek. Yes, he was toasted at the time and trying to pinch all the girls’ butts (I managed to avoid that bit), but still – I met the actual Scotty. ;) (and ironically, that’s the second time this week I’ve told that story – I go for years without mentioning it and here I am blabbering about it almost constantly all of a sudden)

I love those leaf stitch markers. They are so pretty and yes it would make a wonderful necklace.

I so hate seaming and weaving in ends. I think I shlould be able to wear the item once the knitting is finished. LOL

oh, btw, i forgot to tell you, seaming sucks. kind of. but then sometimes i get really into it and like it! it’s all part of the process. surely you’re learning something, or cultivating some kind of special crafty patience that will translate into real life somehow.

I’m tempted to join the Stash Knit Down becuase I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by one bin of sock yarn and about 5-6 sweaters worth of yarn. But then, I read the person who started it has 16 bins! Eeek…I’m an amateur ;-)
Claudia’s handpaint is such great yarn! You’re going to love it.

The thing with seaming is that you just want to be DONE by the time you’re at that point. And I think that makes it feel like seaming takes even longer than it really does. Persevere!

You’re doing better than me! I’ve just been going into the dining room periodically to see if my sweater has seamed itself up yet.

Are we still on for Saturday morning dyeing? You could get some spinning in then, right?
