batt love

I love End of Day batts.  There’s no telling what’s in them, a little of this, a little of that.  I’m almost done spinning this one, and I *might* ply it with this:

Or I might order another batt (or two) of this color from Miss Babs.  These are two of the three batts I got from her booth at SAFF.  The color changes in the purple remind me of Trekking and if I had a couple more, I could make a nice three-ply sock yarn.  Hmmm….

While I’m trying to decide, I need to finish up this.

Darlene mentioned a fellow Alabamian who had an Etsy shop and of course, I had to check it out.  This is another End of Day batt from Wooly Treasures, and I give her a huge thumbs up!  I ordered this one morning and it arrived the very next day, wrapped prettily and with a free stitch marker!  Anyone who boasts a “fanatical love of color and natural fibers” is alright by me.  She also dyes yarn - go check her out!

Last, but certainly not least, is my love for this batty guy:

Happy anniversary, SB!  Whew.  He still makes me wanna growl, and I can kick his butt in Canasta.  What more could a girl ask?  ;o)

    Happy Anniversary!

Funny thing – I just ordered some fiber from Wooly Tresures so I could practice some more spinning on my spindle. You are right she has some lovely fibers.

    Happy Anniversary!

Your fibre was delivered the next day?! That is fantastic.
Love the purple yarn you’ve made.
It must be so fun to spin the multicoloured batts and watch what emerges.

I LOVE the middle bobbin with the purpley/pinky singles. It’s spun so evenly and would be so lovely plied with something of like
    colors. Gorgeous!

Happy Anniversary!!!!! Now….I don’t have my handy chart of appropriate gifts for each year of marriage….but isn’t this the year that yarn/fiber is the traditional gift to give?? LOL!!!!

Love how the batts spun…..Wooly Treasures is indeed a “treasure” and the owner is just the BEST!!!!
