SAFF – the pictures

I’m still in decompress mode, but here are a few pictures I took over the weekend.

These guys were pros – they actually posed for the camera.

1930s alpaca throw – $2,000.

Incredibly detailed needlefelted nativity scene, from Delly’s Delights.

Sock knitting machine – very cool!

Prize winning fleeces.

Incredible scenery.

Sigh.  More tomorrow once I can wrap my mind around it!

I can see why you’d be on (textural) overload! Nice pix.

Jealous. Did you scritch an alpaca for me?

I am both sad that it’s over and relieved to be home. If only I’d thought to take an extra day off to SLEEP!

Ooh, I’d probably soil my drawers in excitement at that soap booth (good thing there’d be a cleanser for them handy then, eh?) as I am a total sucker for soaps. I love handmade soaps. And that booth setup is so rustic and inviting with all those choices…

So sorry I didn’t get to see more of you at SAFF! Of course, Jill and I pooped out fairly early Fri and Sat. :(

First: I loved the soap booth, but fancy, handmade soaps don’t agree with my skin. I did, however, smell every single one of them. The pumpkin cranberry takes the cake hands down.

Second: Leslie wasn’t feeling so well after dinner. Infact, she got car sick on the way home. Three times. Next year we are planning on getting a hotel room. And buying tons more yarn.

Whoa! $2000 for that mangy looking throw? Amazing. Actually it is in remarkable shape for being from the ’30′s.

I know this was a fibre festival – but look at all that handmade soap! Heaven. I love handmade soaps so much. I can never walk past a vendor. Very dangerous for me.

    Beautiful scenery.

Continue to decompress – we’ll be waiting. :-)

Beautiful pictures! How do you put the heels in when you use a sock machine?
