What on earth was I thinking?*

Did you know that Sloss Furnace concerts are outside, for the most part?

I didn’t.

Did you know that today’s forecast is for a high of 90, but with 82% humidity?!?

I didn’t, but I could have guessed it.

I mean, I like the White Stripes and all, but I am going to ROAST!

*Ha.  I bet you thought I was going to say something like, “I’ll never knit a sweater by the end of October!  I’ve never even finished a sweater! Oh, woe is me!”  Not on your life!  I spun and spun and spun all Saturday and then I plied and plied most of yesterday and then somewhere around 4:00 yesterday afternoon I decided that all the yarn I’d spun and plied and even finished wasn’t what I wanted to knit my sweater out of.  Crazy, I know.  A glutton for punishment, that’s me.  I have good reasons, though.

So now I have 625 yards of yarn that I’m not going to use for the sweater, and one almost-full bobbin of sweater singles.  No pictures because it’s too hot to go outside and take them.  I’ll have to count on natural light through the window tomorrow for pictures, and I’ll be posting sparingly because my sweater yarn?  It’s brown.  Brown, brown, boring old brown.  You’re going to get sick of it reeeaaaalll quick, I’m afraid.  I just hope I can keep my interest up until I get it spun.

Think of me tonight around 9:00 and wipe an ice cube across your brow, okay?

Remember to hydrate so you’ll have something to sweat out. A glutton for punishment in more ways than one!

I would love to see them in concert, even if it were 90 degrees :) That sounds like a really great place in general, not to mention a great place to see a show!

I would feel sad for you, except I keep checking the White Stripes website, and they keep not adding my area for a concert stop. Pout.I hear they put on amazing shows, and I especially loved their last 2 cds. OK, take some ice, and ENJOY THAT GENIUS JACK!

White Stripes! That is going to be a blast – from the furnace of hell! Take a lot, a LOT of water. 82% humidity?!? I cannot even comprehend that. Ugh.
Add to that their genius, and Jack’s arms and well…take a lot of water.

Sorry, no sympathy whatsoever – you went to see the White Stripes! That’s awesome!
