Over the weekend, I started a new project with my handspun. I decided on the Argosy wrap and it’s very enjoyable to knit. Simple enough to move along quickly, but engaging enough not to be boring. The only problem I have is that I don’t have enough handspun in coordinating colors. I’ve pulled out roving that I dyed awhile back that *might* work with these colors and will spin that up and see if it’ll work. I have a picture of the roving in my Flickr, but don’t know how to post it here (can you blog more than one photo from Flickr?).

This picture reflects a rare moment these days – knitting outdoors with wool. Every afternoon the sky threatens to rain. Lightning flashes and thunder roars, but every afternoon, the rain passes by our house. It’s so close though – it must rain one street away. The cool breeze and gray skies yesterday afternoon promised rain, so I grabbed my knitting, a 6:00 cocktail and the kitty, and headed out to the front porch to watch the show. Alas, the rain passed us by again. Maybe today…

That picture looks like you knitted the kitty into this garment. We’ve talked about this–you have plenty of stash and you can’t knit with the cat. Just because he’s all up in your project is no excuse to work him in.

If you want some rain, I have plenty that I could send your way :)

The Argosy wrap is looking very nice. Isn’t knitting with handspun such a treat?

Pretty! I have one sad skein of handspun that I think I will make a bag out of.
Oooh, weird, your blog always makes the comment box fling off the right side of the page under your sidebar, and now it’s not – I wonder if they/you fixed the comment box, only to find the photos are hosed?
Have you tried pasting the Flickr code (they give you the whole thing on the All Sizes page, select the size you want before you copy/paste the code) directly into your post in your HTML editor? I do that and haven’t had a problem in Blogger, which everyone ELSE hates with the white hot passion of etc etc etc.
Oh, and BTW, your email thinks MY email is spam. :-D Mus’ be all the likker talking.

Gorgeous handspun becoming a gorgeous shawl!

Hope you get your rain soon. And your blog issues resolved.

    Lovely handspun and knitting!

To blog more than one Flickr photo you need to blog from your blog admin rather than from Flickr itself. If you click on “more sizes” you can choose the size you want and then they give you the code you can cut and paste into your blog post. If you want text to move around it and such you’ll need to edit the code they give you slightly by putting in “align=left or right” into the img src section of the code.
