productive weekend

First of all, here’s my Saturday Sky for Sandy!

Yes, I got all NINE skeins of handspun soaked and twist-setted and hung on the line to dry!  And unlike Stephanie, not a squirrel in sight, much to my relief!

The hallway got painted.  It took me three hours to paint around the six doorways leading off the hall!  It took the boy less than an hour to fill in the outlines.

He’s a very good helper and works for marshmallows!  (Braces prevent him from eating peanuts).  After I took this picture, I went back to folding laundry and was shortly called back to the hallway to see this:

Silly boy!

We also made it to the farmer’s market where I got some tomatoes

and supplies were purchased for the self-appointed Pickle Man of Crestwood, who wasted no time in pickling his cukes.

I even did some knitting but I’ll have to show that tomorrow since my computer doesn’t want to upload the picture!  (It did this to me last week too.  Maybe the drought is affecting it as well).

What kept you busy this weekend?

Aren’t kids fun? Love the two smiley faces.

I knitted and attempted to finish our taxes, 2006 and amended 2004 and 2005. It’s the shoemaker and barefoot children around here when it comes to taxes.

Mmm homemade pickles — what the? I read in the latest People magazine that it is all the rage to soak pickles in Kool Aid. I don’t think I will be trying that anytime soon.
Your son is doing a great job, it’s good to enjoy your work. It is such a pain cutting in, but it makes such a big difference. The new colour looks great with the white. Nice and fresh.

Whoops – I forgot – your yarn looks fantastic, and thank goodness you didn’t have any maruading squirrels.
