Cast off, cast on

I’m channeling The Karate Kid but in reverse.  As soon as I cast off my Chevron Scarf, I cast on for socks.

Stripey socks.  Wool socks.  Spun from Abby’s Luxury Sock Batts in the Tamale Pie colorway.

Nevermind about the 2 pair of socks that are 3/4 done.  I wanted to knit this yarn even before it was finished and I only have so much patience, you know!

SB says I’ll only knit one, but I’ll show him.  I’m almost ready to turn the heel on the first one and badda-bing, badda-boom, I’ll be done with sock one and onto sock two.  Yes I will.  No pretty distractions for me.  I’m focused.

See that healthy snack in the background?  More evidence of my focused state of mind.  The philosophy book?  A pathetic attempt to figure out where the plot of Lost is going, since the writers apparently don’t know.  Will something HAPPEN already???

Lastly, look what my awesome attorneys gave me for Administrative Assistant’s Day!

This doesn’t show half of it.  There’s a peace lily, maidenhair fern, boston fern, two kalanchoe, variegated ivy and a gerbera daisy.  My front porch will finally get some color!

Ooooh! What a lovely planter! If they can’t hand you an all expense paid trip for two to Paris, this is a close second.

I love the socks! The warm, earthy colors are my favorites, and your stripes are working out perfectly – you’d better
