Do you have a list?

Posted on | April 3, 2007 | 4 Comments

Not a grocery list, or a “things to do today” list, but a list of accomplishments that you hope to achieve in your lifetime?

I was visiting Kelly’s blog and clicked on her “To Do” tab, thinking it might be a list of projects she plans to knit or books in the queue (the girl reads a LOT of books!).  Her list reminded me that I too have such a list.  I’m posting it here, unedited, as a reminder to myself to keep working toward my goals.

THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE

1.  Learn (and be able to speak) French (more than tourist French)

2.  Be an accomplished pianist

3.  Graduate from college magna cum laude

4.  Be a skilled caligrapher

5.  Learn to snow ski

6.  Travel abroad (Europe)  Check!  Three times!  (not enough!)

7.  Obtain a graduate degree – field uncertain

8.  Grow a beautiful garden, floral and vegetable

9.  Take a floral arranging class

10.  Take ballet lessons

11.  Take a pottery class

12.  Start my own business

13.  Volunteer on a regular basis

14.  Run in a 5k or 10k ran a 5k on my 31st birthday

15.  Sky dive

16.  Hike the Appalachian Trail

Do you have a list?  If so, please consider posting it to your blog.  I think this could turn into a really cool meme and I’d love to read everyone’s goals.  Let me know in the comments if you decide to do this so I don’t miss out!

Look what was blooming this morning!  It has a bodyguard:

See the aphid on the right?  Ms. Ladybug’s got her work cut out for her!  The aphids are all on this huge weed growing right next to the rosebush.  I was going to pull it, but then I saw the ladybug and realized it’s better to have aphids on a weed than on the rosebush!
