sigh…and YAY!

I’ve gone through 20 pages of Google links to Debbie Bliss Cotton DK.  Only one hit – a blogger destashing the exact  color I need, marked “SOLD”. 

I posted on the Knitlist yahoo group and received one reply referencing me to the blogger I just mentioned.

I’ve emailed Knitting Fever, the U.S. distributor for Debbie Bliss. 

I’ve emailed five yarn shops asking them to check their stock for this discontinued color.  Two of the five actually list 13008 on their website as a color they carry, so I’m hoping….

I have two alternative plans. 

Plan A:  visit my one LYS who carries Debbie Bliss, look at the color charts and see if the color 09, which appears to be VERY similar to 08, is close enough to fudge it. 

Plan B:  create a design element (good suggestion, Abi!). 

Meanwhile, I’ve distracted myself with pretty things arriving via the post.  Pictures tomorrow!  Oh, and I won a contest!  Woot!  Free yarn!!!  I haven’t bought yarn in 2007….but I’ll gladly break my vow of yarn celibacy if I can just find some 13008!
