Love is a verb

That’s a favorite quote from my best bud Liz. She has several other gems:
“They can’t throw you in jail for asking.”
“They are where they want to be.”
“It’s only kinky the first time.”
I love her one-liners, but this morning, it was all about “Love is a verb.”
Ten minutes before I got into my car and saw this, SB told me how, if he takes the quickest route to his office, he’s in a race to beat the train, otherwise he loses the few minutes saved by going that route and ends up waiting for the train to pass and is late for work. Sometimes 20 seconds makes the difference in beating the train.
Thank you, SB, for taking the precious seconds and cleaning the frost off my car windshield this morning! I forgive you for not having Foreigner at home. It’s Cara’s fault that I wanted to hear it so badly.
Okay, enough goof – how’s about some knitting?
The front of my springtime bag is over halfway done. I love colorwork. It’s one of my favorite things. I need to make Latvian mittens for my entire family. Even though it’s the stitch pattern that’s making the design, I still think this would be considered fair isle, since two colors are used throughout, right?
I’ve started spinning up the Norwegian Blue roving and it’s just beautiful. I love it. I know I say that about everything I spin, but I don’t care, when it comes to handdyed roving, I’m a slut.
Have you seen this new pattern? Doesn’t the model look like Natalie Portman? Maybe she’s modeling for handknits now.
I have the Lana Grossa site bookmarked but usually when I check out their free pattern of the month it’s just…not my taste. THIS, however, I LOVE! I know everyone’s making Arianne, but I like the length of this sweater, and the double-notched collar (and the pockets!) (love pockets!) and the cables would definitely keep me interested. I may have to do some swatching over the weekend to see if I have any suitable yarn in my stash. Because I’m still adhering to KFYS, albeit unofficially. Which means I can quit any time I want to. Ahem.

I like the look of that sweater, too. But does it have 1×1 rib all over it? I don’t know if I have the patience for that! you should definitely start one and tell us if it is fun or not :)

Love is definitely a verb, and your sweetie does it well! Coincidentally, I refer to my husband as SB also; in his case it stands for Smokey Bear.

Yeah…like Karrie said…start that 1×1 rib on that very long sweater and tell us if it’s fun. I sure like the look.
