Green is a dominant color?

I wouldn’t have thought so. But when I drafted the Falkland roving I dyed a couple of weeks ago, green was definitely the strongest color.
I didn’t expect it to come through so strongly when it was plied.
This was taken with flash, so it’s a little brighter than the real stuff. I made this a three ply because I’d never done one before and I wanted a good blend of the colors.
I think it’s okay. I’m curious to see what it’ll look like knitted up – if green will stay the dominant color or if it’ll recede. I know warmer colors are dominant and while I wouldn’t consider green a warm color, this green is light and closer to yellow than blue, which must be why it’s coming out so strongly.
I did some knitting this weekend – the toe-up Jays are to the point of the gusset. Since I’ve never done this before, it’s going to require sitting down at the table with two or three sets of instructions laid out in front of me, a large Diet Coke and complete silence. Maybe in the year 2010, right?
I also tried to finish my pillow front, but apparently knitting while reading movie subtitles creates holes, so there will be some ripping back going on this evening. Or this afternoon, as the ManCub is ill and will be spending the afternoon at home with mom. Some sort of horrible stomach virus that I’m really hoping isn’t contagious.
Oh! I visited a new LYS Saturday and I’ll post about that tomorrow.

Purty! I told the LYS owner in Jacksonville I can’t buy a wheel because I need to get a laptop. “THIS year,” she said, and showed me a 6-pound wheel with a free carrying bag. Hope everyone gets or stays well at your place.
