all packed and ready to go

I finished plying the BFL last night – approx. 700 yards destined to become my first pair of two at a time, toe-up socks on two circs! I have my Knitty instructions, my Knit Picks size 1 24″ circs and my pattern (Maybe. Or maybe I should make these knee socks – knit till I run out of yarn. I’ll decide after I knit the toes).
This is what I had leftover when I was done plying. I’m going to use it to reinforce the toes and heels – which will make them three ply.
The only thing I DIDN’T do was teach my 11 year old how to drive so I could knit on the way to Indiana. Next time, I’ll plan better.

Beautiful yarn! Good idea to use the extra for toes and heels.

God, it’s beautiful! Which picture would you say is the closest to the actual color?

That is a great idea about reinforcing! The yarn is so fantastic. You did a great job!
11 year old driving? I think you are better off not knitting!;) Have a great trip!

The yarn is gorgeous! Let me know how the adventure goes. I need to knit both socks at once, so I need to learn as well. Maybe I’ll wait for you to master this technique so that you can help me! I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
