Door knockers of Paris

What can I say? I’m weird.
I take photographs of what amuses or delights me.
These were taken in the 7th Arrondissement, an area where many French and foreign dignitaries reside, with gated driveways and French flags flying from nearly every home. I was happy no one thought it too strange I was taking these photographs – I’m no terrorist; just a delighted traveller.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Happy New Year! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you – my online community – your support, comments, suggestions and most of all, your shared enthusiasm for this “hobby” of ours. It’s encouraging to know that even if I am a little bit crazy, at least I’m not alone.
See you in 2007!

I love the door knockers! What are your plans for New Years? Are you going to be at the Asylum’s Funky Formal?

The lion’s head door knocker thingy, reminds me of the one in “The Christmas Carol,” by Charles Dickens. Should change to the head of Marley any second now….
