Koigu, Part Deaux

Last night, I wanted to cast on for something new. Yes, I know I have five items already on the needles, but I really really wanted to do something with this Koigu I bought in Memphis.
I absolutely love these colors. This was the start of a top-down sock using my standard 72 stitch pattern, size 1 dpns. But with Koigu? WAAYYY too big. So I ripped and the Koigu sat in my stash, cooling its heels. Yesterday I thought I’d try the figure eight cast-on for toe-up socks. Since I love this yarn so much, it was the perfect candicate for toe-ups so I could use every.last.ounce. Yeah, not so much. I got about 20 rows into it and decided it looked more like a nipple than a sock toe. Pasties, anyone? Riiiiippp.
Last night, I thought, ‘I have 350 yds. I’ll make a scarf!’ So I started, using a simple “K1, *YO, K2tog, repeat from *” pattern I found on-line.
Pretty, huh? I thought so too, until it occurred to me that I JUST KNIT A SCARF THESE EXACT SAME COLORS!!!! Exhibit A:
I see ripping in the near future. BUT – I’m starting over because I really like this pattern and want an easy, but somewhat lacey, scarf. I’ll still be knitting it in Koigu, but with THESE colors:
Keeping my rep intact as an Accessory Knitter.

I meant to comment to say I loved the angle of the top photo of the Koigu, then I saw you won MORE Koigu in Deb’s contest! Not fair
