Let me sum up

I used to think knitting was addictive.  Then I tried spinning.  And then I dabbled in dyeing.  I am hooked.  So hooked that last week, bereft of fiber to dye and spin, I bought 4 oz. of Blue Face Leicester – just to get me through the weekend.  I had to have that fix.

Singles – 145 yards.  This time I actually documented what I did while dyeing so maybe, if I’m lucky, I can repeat it.  A bit overspun in places, but I like it.

The loaner hand cards arrived today from Miss Hawlet, and she threw in a couple of surprises!

Thank you, Holly! Some merino/mohair blend and “merino X farm wool” to play with!  The merino/mohair blend is so pretty and soft that I’ve put it on my desk to pet occasionally.  I cleared all the junk (aka “work”) out of the way so you can see some of my favorite things – green apples, Fortnum & Mason teas, the Road Atlas, fall catalog from Paper Source, and a snapshot of Sgt. Britty watering our plants the morning we left for our honeymoon.

Your yarn looks lovely. I think I’ve given up on trying to spin until we get to SAFF.

You summed it up alright! I’m hooked on knitting, but can’t take on another craft because I know there is no time for another addiction :)
