I suppose that’s what I’ve been lately. It’s not that I haven’t been knitting, I’m just not thrilled about anything I’m working on right now. I finished the SWTC test knit, which I LOVED and learned so much from! (you tend to do that when you knit something a bazillion times) I’m really happy with the finished product:
Blocking, and draped over a chair:
The color is truer in the first picture. This was an excellent project for a beginning lace knitter, and I hope SWTC likes it too! I plan to repeat this for a xmas gift or two.
I also finished the Never Ending Man Scarf, but it needs blocking, so no pics yet. In mindless knitting, I’ve been working on this:
Karabella Rings from an old IK. I’m knitting it in 100% bamboo, which will make it a lightweight sweater for our lightweight Southern winters. I’m almost done with the third skein and will separate the stitches for the front and back this weekend. I’m not sure if I like it, or if the yarn is right for this pattern. But it’s an easy knit (although BORING stockinette, around and around and around) and probably a good first sweater project.
In other news, our spider caught herself a big one.
Sgt. Britty saw this and told me my two worlds had collided because I love both spiders and butterflies. True, but she’s got to eat!
And I’m schlepping around with this on my foot:
I broke my pinky toe. Where’s the handknit sock? you might ask. That’s a very good question. The only good thing about breaking my toe and having to wear this lovely, state-of-the-art, haute couture shoe/boot is that I can wear my single socks with it! But they’re at home and I’m at work, so I will show them off tomorrow!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
