Due to the lack of knitting progress pics (Friday brought a horrific moment of truth in which I realized I’d done ALL the YOs for the then 2/3 done lace scarf test knit in the wrong direction. I ripped and re-knit and am now *almost* where I was three days ago), I bring you this, my On Notice list:
Litterers. I would say “litterbugs” but that’s too cute a name. People, please put your trash in a proper trash receptacle. This includes apple cores, banana peels, half-eaten hamburgers, etc. Yes, food is biodegradable, but when it lies along roadsides, it attracts rodents and small mammals. Rodents and small mammals attract larger mammals and birds of prey. It breaks my heart to see an owl or a hawk splayed on the highway after being hit by a car when all they wanted was a little squeaky mouse treat.
Pollo Valador. Local Mexican restaurant that had a KILLER vegetarian menu. New owners, new menu. The veggie items they still serve might as well come from Taco Hell. *sigh*
Rush Limbaugh. I can’t believe anyone actually takes this psycho seriously. Yet, they do. Illogical hate-mongers – You’re on Notice!
Fox TV. Bring back my Arrested Development and ditch oh, about 3/4 of the rest of your programming. And if you’re going to filter the news through a conservative lens, make sure your comedy sitcoms don’t use bad language and adult humor. Pick a side.
Office Air-conditioning. My hands are FREEZING! My toes (I’m wearing sandals today) are FREEZING! Men – either stop wearing undershirts or buy a suit that’s a wool blend – I shouldn’t have to freeze to death because you have a seasonless uniform.
Regis. Why does he think he’s so cool? He thinks he is just – the shits – and he’s not. I don’t know how his co-hosts managed not to strangle him.
Taylor Hicks. I live in Birmingham and I’m likely to get stoned for saying this – but I don’t care for Taylor. If he doesn’t stop his goofy shenanigans, I predict serious chiropractic bills in his future.
Duhmerica. Where to start? Poor spelling, bad grammar, blind trust in leaders, no concern for neighbors, unwillingness to stand up and do the right thing, regardless of the personal consequences, exploiting the Earth’s natural resources, refusal to accept blame for mistakes and cowardice in facing the future.
Happy Monday, y’all.

I think my favorite of your rants is Duhmerica. That is so true. I hope today’s a better day for you!
