How much is too much?

So, I’ll be on vacation next week, soaking in the sun (through 30 SPF) and digging my toes into the sand, and I’m wondering how much knitting does one take on a week-long family vacation at the beach? Definitely my Trek-Along-With-Me socks (and I really hope I don’t see sharks like Slyvia), plus another pair of socks (maybe two?), plus a REAL article of clothing. Nothing wool, it’s too hot and it would felt in my hands. I’ve had this yarn in my stash for a long time (at least three months) and the pattern to make Heat Wave from Southwest Trading Company:
I even have the needles, so no excuses, I will return with a wearable object (not that socks aren’t wearable but, you know, they’re socks).
Someday when I have time, energy and possibly a brain transfusion, I’ll learn how to code up this site so it’s striking and unique and all that jazz. In the meantime, I leave you with this:
