Lava flow socks

Pattern:  Sockbug‘s Lava Flow pattern   Yarn:  Knitpicks Sock Memories in Flower Power colorway

Notes:  I really, really, REALLY was loving these socks.  They didn’t love me back.  I turned the heel, finished the gusset and got about two inches from the toe decreases when I thought it might be a good idea to try them on, ya know, just to be sure they’d fit.  Nope.  Would NOT go over my heels.  I guess the Lava Flow stitch pattern is really tight and I should’ve cast on more stitches.  I guess I should’ve thought about trying it on before I got so far into it.  Will I do it again?  Probably, once the wounds heal and I can face the pretty, pretty yarn again.
